Everyday goodness.
Fresh bread down to the last slice. Not soggy, not rock-hard: just soft for days.

Plastic bag: mouldy. Paper bag: rock-hard.
On Saturday you pick up a beautiful loaf from the bakery. In a plastic bag it sweats, turns soggy and starts to mould. In a paper bag it's rock-hard after two days.
And by Wednesday you cut off the first slice, and throw it away.

Sound like you?
However you eat your bread, the problem is always the same.
£5 for a loaf from the bakery
And by Wednesday you cut off the first slice and throw it away.
Living alone or as a couple
You never get through a whole loaf. So you freeze half, and once it's thawed it doesn't taste the same.
Monday morning, school lunches
You go to make sandwiches, and then you see the grey fuzz.
Choose your bundle
One for you, one to give: the bundle saves you the most.
Your bread breathes. But it doesn't dry out.
Cotton on the outside, a layer of real beeswax on the inside. The cotton lets air through, the wax keeps the moisture in the bread.
The result: the crumb stays soft for days, and the bread doesn't sweat like it does in a plastic bag.

Still have questions?
How long does my bread stay fresh in the bag?
It depends on the bread. A sourdough or rye loaf usually stays soft several days longer than in a paper bag, a white loaf a little less. Important: the crumb stays soft, the crust gets softer after the first day. A few minutes in the oven and it's back.
Won't the bread get mouldy in the bag?
In a plastic bag bread sweats, and that moisture is exactly what makes it mould. The beeswax bread bag lets air through, so the bread can breathe. Still important: let bread cool completely first, shake out the crumbs regularly, and don't keep the bag next to the stove or a heater.
Does the bag smell like wax?
At first it has a light beeswax scent. That's completely normal and shows there's real wax inside. The scent fades after a few days and doesn't transfer to the bread.
How big is the bag?
43 × 33 cm (17 × 13 in). It fits a whole bakery loaf, a homemade Dutch-oven loaf, or several rolls.
How do I clean the bag?
Shake out the crumbs and, if needed, wipe it with a damp cloth or cold water and a little mild dish soap, then let it air-dry. Please no hot water and no washing machine: heat melts the wax.
Can I freeze bread in the bag?
You can, but you won't need to anymore. That's exactly what the bag is for: your bread keeps longer at room temperature, without tasting bland after thawing.
